LEVEL 1 SERVE CERTIFICATION

SERVE CERTIFICATION

Understanding how a player moves during their serve is a prerequisite for effective coaching, training and treatment. Rather than guess what they do, we believe you should assess what they do.

RacquetFit’s Level 1 Serve Certification teaches tennis coaches, fitness experts and medical professionals how to evaluate a player for physical limitations which can inhibit serve mechanical efficiency, durability and, ultimately, enjoyment of the game.

Students learn to quickly evaluate a player’s physical capabilities using the RacquetFit’s Level 1 Serve Screen and to understand how the results of that assessment are correlated with the technical elements in the player’s serve mechanics. This helps a coach, trainer, or medical professional, to quickly identify the key area that can be holding a player back from performing their best. We call this the Body-Serve Connection.

Level 1 Serve Certification isn’t designed to just provide knowledge, but to present a system and pathway for professional development that can propel your business regardless of occupational background or playing experience.

The RacquetFit Program was developed by the expert panel of RacquetFit Advisory Board members consisting of tennis industry leading experts.

At t RacquetFit, we have a very simple philosophy.
We don’t believe there is one way to serve; we believe there are an infinite number of ways to serve. But we do believe that there is one efficient way for everyone to serve and it is based on what they can physically do.

How can you determine what a player’s body can do?

By using the RacquetFit Serve Level 1 assessment screen.

If a player is limited by what their body can do, they have two options:

1) Build a swing that works around their limitations;
OR
2) Work with a coach, fitness or medical professional to improve their limitations.
